Avaada Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bihar Government to develop 1 GW of renewable energy capacity across the state. The estimated 5,000 INR-Crore investment will support ground-mounted, floating, and community solar plants, along with battery storage systems.
The partnership between Avaada and Bihar reflects a shared commitment to clean energy and sustainable development. The state government will assist in securing land, water access, and necessary approvals to fast-track implementation. Meanwhile, production is expected to begin within two years of executing power purchase agreements.

The initiative will further generate direct employment for 500 individuals and attract allied industries to the region. Moreover, this move aligns with Bihar’s new renewable energy policy, which targets nearly 1.5 INR-Trillion in investments and 24 GW of capacity by FY 2029-30. Avaada will also benefit from incentives under the state policy framework of Bihar.
