Bengaluru unveils 1,650 INR-Crore, 60,000-seat Mega Stadium project — India’s Second-Largest

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced an estimated 1,650 INR-Crore stadium project to build a world-class sports complex in Bengaluru. The plan includes a 60,000-seat stadium at Surya City in Bommasandra, which will become the second-largest stadium in India. Additionally, the sports complex will cover an anticipated 75 Acres and include both indoor and outdoor arenas. 

Furthermore, the design will integrate Olympic-size swimming pools, modern training centers, and a high-tech gym. Besides sports, the government will add hotels, guest houses, hostels, and a convention hall. Therefore, the Bengaluru stadium project will support sporting events and cultural gatherings. Consequently, the project will create the infrastructure needed to nurture talent and attract international tournaments.

The site at Surya City lies in an emerging corridor and will contribute to the city’s long-term development. Once construction starts, the government aims to build the complex to global standards.
