The Bihar Government plans to construct a Bihar Bhawan in Mumbai to cater to the administrative and welfare needs of people from the state. With an estimated investment of 314 INR-Crore, the building will rise to 69M in height, making it one of the tallest state buildings.
Spanning an anticipated 0.68 Acres of plot in the Mumbai Port Trust area, the new Bihar Bhawan in Mumbai will feature a ground floor, mezzanine, 30 upper floors, and three basement levels. The structure will house 178 rooms and a 240-bed dormitory mainly for patients with serious illnesses and their families. It will also include a cafeteria, a medical room, modern offices, and a conference hall for 72 people. Additionally, the complex will provide smart parking for 233 vehicles using sensor-based triple and double-decker systems.

Officials have already completed the boundary wall and selected a consultant, while tendering will conclude soon. The government also plans to install a sewage treatment system and solar panels to promote sustainability, while green areas will further improve the environment. Through these efforts, Bihar Bhawan Mumbai will strengthen Bihar’s institutional presence and support long-term welfare and development goals.
