Brookfield Asset Management will invest an estimated 1 US$-Billion to develop a large Global Capability Center (GCC) in Mumbai. The project will be Asia’s largest GCC, reflecting the company’s growing confidence in India’s talent ecosystem and Maharashtra’s pro‑investment environment.
The GCC will be developed through an agreement between the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and a Brookfield‑led venture with partner B S Sharma. The center will come up on an anticipated 6 Acres plot in Powai, one of Mumbai’s prime business and technology hubs.

Moreover, the development underscores India’s growing significance as a strategic hub for global corporations.
