The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has cleared the estimated 646 INR-Crore OMP-Kandarpur elevated corridor in Cuttack. The 13 Km flyover will connect OMP Square to Kandarpur, easing traffic on NH-55.
The OMP-Kandarpur elevated corridor will include service roads, flyovers, and grade separators. It will pass above the Nua Bazar flyover, bypassing congested intersections. Construction is expected to begin within three months. The project will divert heavy vehicles from inner roads. It will also reduce travel time for commuters heading to Paradip and Jagatsinghpur.
