The Union Government has approved two major infrastructure projects in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The total sanction for these two projects is 2,787 INR-Crore.
Out of the total sanctioned amount, 1,329 INR-Crore is for constructing residential quarters for General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) and 1,458 INR-Crore for the Common Central Secretariat (CCS). The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) will be in charge of the execution of both projects.

As both projects exceed the limit of 500 INR-Crore, they now require clearance from the Public Investment Board. While the estimated cost has been shared, final appraisals for these infrastructure projects in Amaravati will be undertaken at the forthcoming Public Investment Board (PIB) meeting.
