For the construction of the Sahebganj-Areraj-Bettiah section of National Highway (NH) 139W, the Bihar Government has received approval from the Central Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC). The total estimated cost for this project is 4,000 INR-Crore, and the tenders are expected to be floated soon.
The land acquisition for the 89 Km highway is largely complete, and the compensation for the same is under disbursals. The construction of NH 139W is expected to be completed within 24 months. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will oversee the construction of the project under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).
