CESC Ltd, the flagship company of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, will invest an estimated  4,500 INR-Crore in Odisha to set up a large-scale solar manufacturing plant. This move marks a significant step forward in the company’s clean energy strategy. The project will include a 3 GW solar cell line, a 3 GW solar module unit, a 5 GW advanced chemistry battery cell pack, advanced solar components, and a 60 MW captive power plant.

The facility will be established in the Dhenkanal district and executed by CESC Green Power Ltd, a subsidiary of CESC. The project has received in-principle approval from Odisha’s high-level clearance authority.
