For South Korea’s largest e-commerce company establishing its Indian back-end operations hub, the design brief required translating digital speed into physical form. The result is an office that operates at “rocket speed,” both literally and conceptually, embedding the company’s delivery-focused ethos into every spatial decision.
Completed within three months, this e-commerce office design reconciles global brand identity with agile infrastructure. It creates an environment designed for collaboration, acoustic clarity, and programmatic flexibility. The idea of the delivery box served as a conceptual focus from the outset. This signature element of e-commerce logistics appears as a recurring motif throughout the office, woven into materiality, graphics, and spatial composition.
The company’s iconic rocket mascot, handcrafted in FRP and mounted on an illuminated podium beneath a stretch fabric ceiling, greets employees on arrival. It stands before backlit lacquered glass displaying the brand’s vision statement. Adjacent to the reception, a touch-interactive screen allows employees to book agile seats and meeting rooms in real time. The system also guides them to reserved locations and doubles as a help desk access point.
Strategic Zoning and Circulation Planning
The floor plate divides into two distinct zones, each defined by its own colour scheme. The right wing features shades of orange reflected in custom gradient carpets, while the left transitions into variations of blue.
This colour-coded division aligns strategically with fire safety zoning. It segregates the office into Fire Compartments 1 and 2 while simultaneously creating intuitive wayfinding. As a result, the layout strengthens both operational clarity and spatial identity.
The lift lobby includes dual entries that ensure clear circulation hierarchies. The security operations room sits next to the boardroom and vendor meeting room, creating a logical progression from public arrival to formal meeting spaces. On the opposite side, a compact pantry integrates amphitheatre seating with agile furniture. A curved meeting room wraps around an integrated phone booth nearby. At the centre, a cluster of meeting rooms uses sliding-folding partition systems. These rooms accommodate 10 to 22 people individually but can combine into one large forum when needed.

Acoustic Infrastructure for Collaborative Workspaces
Acoustic performance forms a critical layer within this e-commerce office design, responding to the client’s requirement for superior audio clarity across collaborative spaces. Meeting rooms feature seamless curved glass partitions with translucent frosting. These partitions maintain privacy while preserving spatial continuity.
Wood-finished metal baffles line the ceilings, combining sound control with material warmth. High-end AV infrastructure integrates seamlessly throughout the office, while mobile screens provide operational flexibility.
The standout ‘carton box’ collaboration room uses acoustic panels printed with folded packaging textures, creating an unfolding visual effect. Fully customised sliding-folding partitions, powder-coated frames, and timber doors allow the room to function both as a sculptural element and a high-performance workspace. The recreation room sits along the floor plate edge. It features basketball court-inspired linear lighting that remains visible from the building exterior.

Brand Language in E-Commerce Office Design
Brand storytelling plays a major role in this e-commerce office design. The company’s core values appear in binary code format, forming a 10-meter-wide installation that connects both the orange and blue zones. This technological language reinforces the brand’s digital DNA while creating a unified visual vocabulary across spatial zones.
Directional graphics guide movement through word-based navigation, differentiating pathways between the two hemispheres. Meanwhile, gaming zones incorporate vibrant graphics such as leaves and organic motifs that align with each zone’s colour palette. Interactive tic-tac-toe installations with storage baskets encourage spontaneous play beyond digital screens.
Corridors feature wooden LED-lit panels that form a history wall documenting the brand’s journey. Concrete-textured finishes combine with light strips across surfaces, while recessed panels create dimensional shifts between programmatic areas.
Throughout the office, collaboration zones sit against muted base tones and are punctuated with saturated accent colours that immediately draw visual focus.

Biophilic Edges and Flexible Typologies
Biophilic strategies bring softness to the workplace environment. Landscaped edges, integrated greenery, and sculptural lighting collectively enhance the spatial experience. Glazed seating zones along the periphery are framed by greenery, maintaining a constant visual connection with nature.
The terrace transforms into a sunset viewing deck in the evening and features agile seating arrangements. Sculptural wooden block seating pairs with planters, while metal baffles with wood-textured finishes contrast against exposed concrete columns. Durable external-grade furniture ensures the space remains flexible and usable in all weather conditions.
The café incorporates corner seating configurations that maximise both capacity and intimacy. Overhead, a sculptural acoustic ceiling made from stretched fabric forms a flowing ribbon-like composition integrated with the company’s values, vision statements, and key quotes. At night, the illuminated ceiling becomes visible from the building façade. As a result, the interior transforms into a glowing urban landmark. The same ribbon language continues across muted grey flooring tiles, reinforcing spatial continuity across the e-commerce office design.
