Flying Wedge to build 1,169 INR-Crore Autonomous Combat Aircraft Hub in Andhra Pradesh

Flying Wedge signed an MoU with Andhra Pradesh to develop an anticipated 500 Acres autonomous aircraft facility. The project will bring an estimated investment of 1,169 INR-Crore into the defence aviation sector. Additionally, the facility will become India’s first full-spectrum autonomous combat aircraft manufacturing and testing hub. The construction scope further includes advanced zones for design, assembly, testing, and systems integration.

Moreover, the plan includes 800 direct jobs and 200 indirect roles in allied manufacturing. The project also aims to strengthen regional production capacities with modern defence technology workflows. Consequently, Flying Wedge will support research, engineering, and component-level development in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Suhas Tejaskanda, Founder & CEO, Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace, stated that the facility will uplift skilled manpower and industrial linkages in Andhra Pradesh. He further highlighted collaboration opportunities for suppliers and academic partners in emerging defence technologies. Additionally, the investment reflects a strong shift toward indigenous capability building and reduced foreign reliance. Overall, Flying Wedge positions Andhra Pradesh as a major hub for next-generation defence infrastructure.
