Maharashtra’s Forest Minister and Palghar District Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik recently virtually laid the foundation stone for the estimated 134 INR‑Crore Palghar Eco Park. The project aims to create a major green lung and a new urban nature hub for the district.
The Palghar Eco Park will offer a comprehensive mix of health, recreation, and nature‑education facilities. It will include jogging and walking tracks to support fitness, along with a Miyawaki dense forest to increase green cover in a compact area. A dedicated yoga and meditation zone will further promote mental well‑being. The design also introduces a bambusetum, curated zones showcasing local flora and fauna, and areas that highlight tribal culture to create an immersive learning experience.
