Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation stone for Academic Block-103 and the new Girls Hostel 50B at IIT Delhi.
The Academic Block-103 will span nearly 5 Lakh-SqFt and rise 10 storeys to a height of 36.75 M, with 2 basement levels. This block will also include 31 classrooms and lecture theaters. Moreover, it will feature 150 research laboratories and 150 faculty offices, along with conference rooms. The building will also house the Educational Technology Services Center.

Additionally, the Girls Hostel-50B will cover about 3.9 Lakh-SqFt in a B+G+12 configuration and will accommodate 1,400 students. It will provide structured residential facilities designed for student comfort and safety. Furthermore, it will feature double-occupancy rooms with built-in cupboards, study tables, universal charging points, and a dining hall. These projects will strengthen academic and research capacity at IIT Delhi while improving hostel accommodation for female students and supporting rising enrolment.
