Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced 3 Lakh INR-Crore corridor projects in MP. He also inaugurated Madhya Pradesh’s longest flyover in Jabalpur on Saturday, August 23. During the event, he announced an infrastructure plan worth over 3 Lakh INR-Crore. The plan aims to transform connectivity, boost tourism, and strengthen logistics in the state.
At the center of this vision, he introduced an estimated 5,500 INR-Crore Tiger Corridor. This corridor will link four premier tiger reserves — Kanha, Panna, Bandhavgarh, and Pench — through a direct route from Jabalpur. Gadkari called it a game-changer for the forest economy. He emphasised that the project will create eco-tourism opportunities and generate employment in central India.
Moreover, Gadkari announced an estimated 15,000 INR-Crore greenfield expressway between Bhopal and Jabalpur. The 255 Km four-lane corridor will reshape the state’s economy. He urged the government to speed up land acquisition. He also confirmed a 10,000 INR-Crore Lakhnadaun-Raipur highway with its DPR due by December. Additionally, a 12,000 INR-Crore expressway between Indore and Bhopal is now planned.
