The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation has issued the GIFT City–Shahpur Metro tender for the construction of an elevated corridor between GIFT City and Shahpur Circle in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The tender, floated on Thursday, April 9, carries an estimated value of 290 INR-Crore. It forms part of Phase 2B of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project and covers key civil infrastructure works for the corridor.
The scope of work includes the construction of 3.33 Km of elevated viaduct and three metro stations along the route. The project will involve civil structural works, architectural finishing, and station infrastructure development. Additionally, contractors will execute structural steel roofing, signage installation, and platform-related works. The tender also includes PHE systems such as water supply and sewage infrastructure, along with electrical and mechanical systems covering power supply, communication, and signaling.

Once implemented, the GIFT City–Shahpur Metro tender is expected to strengthen metro connectivity between the financial hub and core urban areas. The project will support urban transit infrastructure expansion and improve mobility along the corridor. It will also contribute to integrated transport development in Ahmedabad.
