Google to build 6 US$-Billion Data Center in Andhra, Asia’s largest facility

Google has announced a landmark investment of an estimated 6 US$-Billion to establish a hyperscale data center in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The 1 GW facility will be the largest of its kind in Asia, both in capacity and capital outlay.

The proposed project includes a 2 US$-Billion allocation for renewable energy infrastructure to power the Google data center. This will further align with Alphabet’s global sustainability goals. Additionally, this green energy push will support round-the-clock operations while minimizing environmental impact.

Strategically located on India’s eastern coast, the Google data center in Visakhapatnam will serve users across South Asia. It will host tens of thousands of servers, supporting cloud computing, AI, and global digital services.
