The western part of Hyderabad is set to receive a major infrastructure upgrade, as the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority plans a 9 Km elevated corridor at an estimated cost of 1,656 INR-Crore. The project will improve connectivity between Banjara Hills and Shilpa Layout in Kothaguda. Moreover, the Hyderabad elevated corridor will provide signal-free access to the Outer Ring Road at Gachibowli.
The elevated corridor in Hyderabad will be executed in two phases. The first phase will develop a 5 Km stretch between Film Nagar and Shilpa Layout. Additionally, the second phase will cover a 4 Km stretch between the Integrated Command and Control Center tower and Hakimpet Kunta. The corridor will feature a mix of 4-lane and 6-lane sections. It will also include both at-grade and elevated structures.
