Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced an investment of 1,500 INR-Crore for the Tapukara plant expansion in Rajasthan. The company will set up a new production line at its Tapukara manufacturing facility. The announcement was made on Thursday, March 19.
The project involves the installation of a third production line at the plant. The new line will have an annual capacity of about 0.67 Million units. It will increase the total plant capacity to around 2.01 Million units per year. The facility will manufacture commuter motorcycles and scooters. The expansion will also require additional land and supporting infrastructure within the plant.

The new production line is expected to be operational by 2028. The HMSI Tapukara plant will strengthen manufacturing capacity and supply chain flexibility. It will also support rising demand in the two-wheeler segment and boost industrial activity in the region.
