Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a water management project from the Assam Government, with an estimated value ranging between 1,000 to 2,500 INR-Crore. The project falls under the company’s water and effluent treatment business segment.
The scope of work includes design, supply, installation, construction, testing, and commissioning of key infrastructure. This comprises a barge-mounted intake system, raw water rising mains, a water treatment plant, reservoirs, booster pumping stations, and a distribution network with household connections. The project will also include deployment of a fully integrated SCADA system for real-time monitoring and performance management. Additionally, operation and maintenance will be carried out for a period of five years.

Upon completion, the L&T Assam water project will strengthen water supply infrastructure in Assam. It will also improve access to water resources, and support long-term urban and regional development in the state.
