The Maharashtra Government has approved a revised design and funding at an estimated 931.15 INR-Crore for the Bhandara Gadchiroli Expressway. The decision, taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, includes allocations for land acquisition and project execution.
The expressway will cover 94.2 Km and cut the distance between Bhandara and Gadchiroli by 23 Km. Meanwhile, the project will be carried out by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). Its revised alignment further links Savarkhanda Interchange to Konkangad on State Highway 53 and Borgaon Interchange to Ranmochan on State Highway 353D.
