Minor Hotels has signed a management contract for the Anantara Kolkata hotel project at the upcoming World Trade Centre in Kolkata. The project forms part of a 2,400 INR-Crore mixed-use development in Salt Lake’s Sector V. The agreement was announced on Monday, April 6, marking the brand’s first urban Anantara property in India.
Aryan Realty and Merlin Group are developing the World Trade Center project across an anticipated 11 Acres of . It will include Grade A office spaces and retail components along with the hotel. The Anantara hotel will feature around 170 rooms and suites. It will include two restaurants, including a rooftop specialty restaurant, a ballroom, and meeting spaces. Additionally, the project will incorporate a spa, gym, and swimming pool to support hospitality operations. The hotel component is valued at an estimated at 200 INR-Crore and is scheduled to open by 2032.

Once completed, the Anantara Kolkata hotel project will strengthen premium hospitality infrastructure within the World Trade Centre development. It will also support business travel demand in Salt Lake’s commercial hub. The project will enhance integrated commercial and hospitality infrastructure in eastern India.
