The Maharashtra Government has signed an MoU for the development of the Pimpalpada–Savale pumped storage project. Chambery Power Private Limited, part of EDF Power Solutions Private Limited, signed this agreement to develop the project, covering Pune and Raigad districts.
The Pimpalpada–Savale pumped storage project will have a planned capacity of 2,100 MW. It will involve an estimated investment of 10,217 INR-Crore. The project aims to strengthen energy storage infrastructure in the state. Additionally, the project is expected to generate around 2,500 jobs.

The Pimpalpada–Savale pumped storage project will expand energy storage capacity in the state. It will also support grid stability and long-term power supply planning in Maharashtra.
