NBCC to execute 480 INR-Crore phase-I of Marine Eco City project in Kochi

NBCC (India) Limited will execute Phase-I of the Marine Eco City project at Marine Drive in Kochi, Kerala. The phase carries an estimated investment of 480 INR-Crore. The Kerala State Housing Board (KSHB) has appointed NBCC as the Project Management Consultant (PMC). The project will be implemented on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis. The announcement was made on Friday, March 13.

The overall Marine Eco City development will span an anticipated 17.9 Acres of waterfront land near the BPCL housing complex at Marine Drive. Phase-I will be developed on 3.16 Acres and will include a mixed-use residential-cum-commercial tower. The building will comprise a lower ground floor, an upper ground floor and 26 floors, along with a parking block. The development will provide a built-up area of about 85,733 SqM (around 9.22 Lakh-SqFt). It will include 152 apartments, along with retail and office spaces within the complex.

The project will be implemented in three phases, with the remaining 14.74 Acres planned for later stages. Phase-II will include a five-star hotel with 105 rooms and a convention center, while Phase-III will feature six residential towers with 952 apartments. Once completed, the Marine Eco City project will create a mixed-use urban hub combining residential, commercial and hospitality infrastructure along Kochi’s Marine Drive corridor.
