New Township projects worth 2,285 INR-Crore announced in Banda and Chitrakoot

The Uttar Pradesh Housing Board will launch new township schemes in Banda and Chitrakoot to meet rising demand for affordable housing in Bundelkhand. These greenfield developments will span an anticipated 338 Acres in Banda and 161 Acres in Chitrakoot, respectively.

This proposed township will offer a combined 13,950 housing units—9,500 in Banda and 4,450 in Chitrakoot. Nearly 90% of the plots will be reserved for individuals planning to build their own homes. The housing board has identified the land, while acquisition is already underway.

Furthermore, the Housing Board estimates a total investment of 2,285 INR-Crore, including 1,390 INR-Crore for Banda and 895 INR-Crore for Chitrakoot. Both projects are located in prime areas and will feature essential infrastructure and amenities. These new township developments in Banda and Chitrakoot reflect the state’s push for inclusive urban growth and improved housing access.
