Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth an estimated 1,362 INR-Crore during the Dhanu Yatra festival in Bargarh. The initiatives aim to boost infrastructure, strengthen connectivity, and enhance public amenities in western Odisha.
The projects include new roads, bridges, irrigation facilities, and urban infrastructure designed to support regional growth. The CM laid the foundation stone for 85 projects costing 980.58 INR-Crore and inaugurated 38 projects valued at 382.26 INR-Crore. Together, these Dhanu Yatra Bargarh projects reflect the government’s commitment to balanced growth across the district.
Key highlights among initiated projects
- In-stream storage project on Jira River at 114.87 INR-Crore
- Beautification of Bargarh Canal with Box Conduit at 30.17 INR-Crore
- Construction of a dedicated Rang Mahal (stage) for Dhanu Yatra at 12.80 INR-Crore
New projects announced for Bargarh district
The Chief Minister also announced four new projects worth approximately 380 INR-Crore:
- In-stream storage project at Grindola at 150 INR-Crore
- Sewage Treatment Plant on Jira River at 132 INR-Crore
- Modern Atal Bus Stand in Bargarh Sadar at 65 INR-Crore
- Development of Vending Zone at Hatpada at 30 INR-Crore
