In August 2025, Biltrax Construction Data documented over 1,583 new construction projects. These include 976 building projects and 607 industrial & infrastructure projects.
Building Construction Projects Insights – August 2025
The 976 new building projects incorporated in August 2025 cover a combined 235.75 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of 84,086 INR-Crore. Of these, 402 projects are under construction, while 574 are in the early stages. The breakdown further includes 572 private projects and 404 public projects.
Among the significant construction projects in August 2025 is Birla Estate residential development in Pune, Maharashtra. Spanning an anticipated 16 Acres of land, this development will be divided into two phases. Phase 1 will include four residential towers and a modern clubhouse. As of August 2025, the construction has not yet started.
Another notable construction project in August included the development of the Central Vista miscellaneous public Building in New Delhi. This project has an estimated construction cost of 3,116 INR-Crore. Being developed by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), this project is expected to be completed by 2027.
In August 2025, Biltrax recorded 528 new tenders with a total tender value of over 26,364.98 INR-Crore. Notable tender issuers include the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Military Engineer Services (MES), Government of Odisha Works Department, and NBCC (India) Limited
Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Insights
In August 2025, Biltrax’s BX-2 platform also documented 430 industrial projects worth 102,826 INR-Crore & 177 infrastructure projects worth 38,831 INR-Crore.
The 430 industrial projects span a total area of 79.45 Million-SqFt. Maharashtra led with 83 projects. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh followed closely.
BX-2 also tracked 135 water infrastructure projects worth 19,002 INR-Crore in August. Gujarat attracted the highest number of projects. BX-2 documented 36 water infrastructure projects in the state. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Karnataka followed closely.
August 2025 also saw major transport infrastructure projects. One notable project is the NHAI’s eight-laning of the Nashik Phata to Khed Section of NH 60. The project involves building an 8-lane elevated flyover at Tier-1 on a single pier. The work spans the Nashik Phata–Khed section (Km 12.190 to Km 28.925) of NH-60 in Maharashtra. Package 1 covers a total length of 16.735 km and will be executed in BOT (Toll) mode.
Lastly, a major industrial project in August 2025 includes the RGE APRIL Group Manmade Fiber Manufacturing unit in Thoothukkudi. This project has an estimated investment cost of 4,953 INR-Crore. The overall construction cost of the project is valued at 4,400 INR-Crore with a construction area of approximately 1,200,000 SqFt.
