In February 2026, Biltrax Construction Data documented over 1,654 new construction projects. These include 861 building projects and 793 industrial & infrastructure projects.

Building Construction Projects Insights – February 2026

The 861 new building projects incorporated in February 2026 cover a combined 274.99 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of 107,749 INR-Crore. Of these, 275 projects are under construction, while 586 are in the early stages. The breakdown further includes 467 private projects and 394 public projects.

Among the significant construction projects, Signature Global, in partnership with RMZ Corporation, is developing the Signature Global RMZ Mixed-Use Development in Gurgaon, Haryana. The project spans a land parcel of 25 Acres. It will deliver a large-scale mixed-use development with a total development potential of 7.5 Million-SqFt. The development will feature high-end office spaces, premium residences, and integrated commercial infrastructure. 

Another notable construction project is the Pune Metro Phase 2 Line 4B (Hadapsar – Loni Kalbhor) in Pune, Maharashtra. The project is being developed by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MahaMetro). Furthermore, it involves the development of an 11 Km elevated metro corridor with 10 stations. The project has an estimated construction cost of 2,500 INR-Crore and forms part of the larger Pune Metro Phase 2 network. As of February 2026, the project is in the pre-construction stage, with tenders floated for the appointment of a detailed design consultant for the elevated stations. 

In February 2026, Biltrax recorded 550 new tenders with a total tender value of over 24,707.38 INR-Crore. Notable tender issuers include the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Public Works (Buildings C & M) Department, Tamil Nadu, Rural Development Department, Construction & Design Services Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (CDSUPJN), and NBCC (India) Limited

Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Insights

In February 2026, Biltrax’s BX-2 platform also documented 448 industrial projects worth 128,203 INR-Crore & 345 infrastructure projects worth 78,163 INR-Crore.

The 448 industrial projects span a total area of 75.19 Million-SqFt. Maharashtra led with 83 projects. Meanwhile, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh followed closely.

BX-2 also tracked 256 water infrastructure projects worth 15,128 INR-Crore in February. Karnataka attracted the highest number of water projects. BX-2 further documented 33 water infrastructure projects in the state. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar and Tamil Nadu followed closely.

February 2026 also saw major transport infrastructure projects. One such notable project is the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI)  6-laning of the Ahilyanagar to Akkalkot section (Package 2) in Maharashtra. The project further involves the construction of a 6-lane access-controlled highway with a total length of 222 Km. The estimated construction cost of this road project is 8,254 INR-Crore. As of February 2026, tenders have been floated for the selection of a private developer.

Lastly, a major industrial project in February 2026 includes the Shri Bajrang Titanium Dioxide Pigment and Sulphuric Acid Manufacturing Unit. Developed by Shri Bajrang Power & Ispat Limited, the project is currently in the pre-construction stage. As of February 2026, tenders have been floated for the selection of a private developer.
