Patel Engineering Ltd has been declared the lowest bidder for Package-1 of the Renuka Ji Dam Project in Himachal Pradesh, with an estimated contract value of 910.08 INR-Crore. The award was confirmed on Monday, February 23, by Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL).
Under the contract, the scope includes building three diversion tunnels with diameters of 9.5 M and lengths of 1,379 M, 1,468 M and 1,590 M, respectively. The work also includes development of three inlet and outlet portals and 6 Km of access roads. Installation of hydro-mechanical gates and instrumentation works will support operational efficiency and safety. Meanwhile, the company will complete the project within estimated 48 months.

Consequently, this project will enhance water storage capacity and support hydropower generation. The Patel Engineering dam contract adds to their portfolio in water management and tunnelling sectors.
