As part of Bihar’s infrastructure development, the government approved a critical 25 Km segment of the Patna Ring Road project. This clearance was granted during a high-level meeting between the state chief secretary and the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The Patna ring road spans nearly 137 Km and is estimated to cost 1,300 INR-Crore. Moreover, completion is targeted by 2028. Once completed, it will encircle the Patna district, linking Vaishali and Saran, while intersecting 12 national highways and five state highways. This will further allow travelers from Gaya, Muzaffarpur, and other regions to bypass congested city routes entirely.
