ReNew Energy Global to invest an additional 60,000 INR-Crore in AP for green energy projects

ReNew Energy Global announced fresh plans to invest 60,000 INR-Crore in Andhra Pradesh for major green energy developments. Moreover, the company increased the total planned investment to 82,000 INR-Crore after adding this new commitment. The expansion supports large-scale renewable growth across the state through integrated clean energy facilities.

The company signed four new MoUs with the Andhra Pradesh Government to accelerate upcoming facilities. Under these MoUs, ReNew Energy Global will set up a 6 GW PV ingot-wafer plant and a 2 GW pumped hydro project. Additionally, the plan includes a 300 KTPA green ammonia plant and 5 GW of hybrid solutions. These hybrid systems will include wind-solar units and solar-BESS installations for reliable energy output.

Sumant Sinha, Founder, Chairman, and CEO, ReNew Energy Global, stated that he aims to build a complete clean energy chain in Andhra Pradesh. He explained that the projects will strengthen domestic supply systems and generate skilled employment. Earlier, the company committed 22,000 INR-Crore to create a 2.8 GW hybrid project in Anantapur. Moreover, that project includes 1.8 GW of solar, 1 GW of wind, and a 2 GW BESS setup.
