RRP Defence partners with CYGR for Drone Manufacturing Facility in Navi Mumbai

RRP Defence has joined hands with French firm CYGR to establish a cutting-edge drone manufacturing plant in Navi Mumbai. The facility will be developed under the ‘Make in India’ initiative with an initial investment of 50 US$-Million (430 INR-Crore), later scaling up to 100 US$-Million.

The plant will produce advanced drones for tactical, surveillance, and industrial applications. These include nano drones, ISR drones, and hand-launched fixed-wing drones. The collaboration blends CYGR’s French-American technology with RRP Defence’s local manufacturing expertise to meet India’s unique operational needs.

Moreover, the drone manufacturing unit by RRP Defence will support the defence, homeland security, and industrial sectors. It is expected to generate high-skill employment and boost aerospace exports. A dedicated R&D centre and training programs are also planned. This partnership between RRP Defence and CYGR marks a strategic leap in India’s drone manufacturing capabilities, reinforcing its position as a global UAV hub.
