Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin signed six strategic MoUs during his London visit. These MoUs were worth an estimated 820 INR-Crore and would act as a major push to the state’s global investment drive. The deals will create more than 1,300 jobs and drive growth in renewable energy, aerospace, design, and maritime sectors.
Wilson Power will invest 300 INR-Crore to set up a renewable transformer unit, creating 543 jobs. Britannia RFID Technologies India will invest 520 INR-Crore in Tiruppur and Namakkal to build an RFID facility, improve supply chain tracking, and add 550 jobs. Together, these initiatives will strengthen Tamil Nadu’s manufacturing base and open new opportunities in Western Tamil Nadu. Rolls-Royce has also shown strong interest in expanding its Tamil Nadu presence with plans for an MRO facility, an R&D unit, a training center, and a major expansion of International Aerospace Manufacturing Pvt Ltd (IAMPL). This company, a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd will manufacture high-precision aero engine compressors and gas turbine parts.

Additionally, Lloyd’s List Intelligence (Seasearcher) will expand its Global Capability Center in Chennai, adding 200 jobs by FY26. This move will further enhance Tamil Nadu’s role in maritime analytics and the Blue Economy. Moreover, its Seasearcher platform will offer real-time insights into vessel movements, ownership data, and port operations, supporting shipping, insurance, and risk management sectors.
These agreements come after 26 MoUs worth 7,020 INR-Crore were signed in Germany to create over 15,000 jobs. Together, these Tamil Nadu MoUs and London initiatives strengthen the state’s position as a leading hub for investments, employment, and innovation-driven industries.
