The Union Cabinet has approved the Jaipur Metro Phase-2 project with an estimated investment of 13,037 INR-Crore on Wednesday, April 8. The project will be implemented in Jaipur by Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited. It will develop a new metro corridor to improve urban connectivity across the city.
The project will include development of a 41 Km North–South corridor connecting Prahladpura to Todi Mod. It will also include 36 stations, of which 34 will be elevated and 2 underground. The corridor will connect key residential, industrial and commercial zones. These include Sitapura Industrial Area, VKIA, Jaipur Airport and major urban centers. The project is targeted for completion by September 2031 and will integrate with the existing Phase-1 network.

Once operational, the Jaipur Metro Phase-2 project will enhance public transport capacity and reduce traffic congestion. It will also strengthen urban mobility infrastructure and support sustainable transit systems in Jaipur.
