In a major boost for industrial growth, Torrent Group and five other Gujarat-based companies will invest 33,320 INR-Crore in Chhattisgarh. This initiative will create over 15,000 new jobs and strengthen key sectors such as energy, healthcare, and manufacturing. Torrent Power leads the list with a 22,900 INR-Crore plan to set up a 1,600 MW thermal power plant, expected to generate 5,000 jobs. Torrent Pharmaceuticals will invest 200 INR-Crore to build a new manufacturing facility, expanding its presence in central India and supporting the Torrent Group investment in Chhattisgarh.
At the investors’ summit in Gujarat, several companies showed strong interest in Chhattisgarh’s growing market. Rajkot-based Onix-three Enersol Pvt Ltd. announced a 9,000 INR-Crore project for green hydrogen, ammonia, and steel production, creating 4,000 jobs. Mala Group from Surat will invest 700 INR-Crore to build a 2 GW solar cell facility, generating 550 jobs. Shalby Hospitals will set up a multispeciality hospital with an investment of 300 INR-Crore. Ahmedabad’s Sapphire Semicon will establish a 120 INR-Crore semiconductor unit and digital solutions, employing 4,000 people. Lyceon Life Sciences will also invest 100 INR-Crore to expand healthcare opportunities in the state.

Meanwhile, the Government is focusing on better infrastructure and faster project clearances to support new industries. Chhattisgarh also offers rich natural resources and skilled manpower, creating the right environment for steady growth. With these upcoming projects, including the landmark Torrent Group Chhattisgarh investment, the state is on track to become a hub for innovation, clean energy, and sustainable development.
