A. NORTH ZONE

In the last financial year, Biltrax tracked 18 Transport & Sports Infrastructure projects in the North Zone through its BX-1 platform, with an estimated construction cost of 1,612 INR-Crore.

Of the total projects tracked by BX-1 in the North Zone during FY 2024–25, Haryana stood out with the highest construction value, comprising 6 projects with a combined construction cost of 1,388 INR-Crore. These accounted for 86.10% of the region’s total. The projects included the development of Metro Systems, Sports Facilities, Bus Depots, and other key urban transport & sports infrastructure upgrades.

Out of the 18 Transport and Sports Infrastructure projects identified in the North Zone, 15 were in the early stage of development, while 3 were under construction.

This section highlights the key stakeholders driving Transport & Sports Infrastructure activities in the North Zone during FY 2024-25. It further focuses on major project owners and top contractors leading significant regional developments.

In the North Zone, key government stakeholders were actively driving Transport and Sports infrastructure development. Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System Limited (DIMTS) handled 3 projects in the capacity of Project Management Consultant (PMC). The authority primarily focused on bus station projects across Haryana during the last financial year. Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited (UPPCL) executed 3 projects as a government developer for sports infrastructure projects. Meanwhile, the Government of Haryana (Transport Department) contributed with 2 development projects, reflecting a collaborative approach towards enhancing mobility and infrastructure in the region.

Gurugram Metro Project - key transport & sports infrastructure project in North zone during FY 2024-25

Notably, Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) & Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) are developing a metro project worth 1,503 INR-Crore. The project consists of constructing a viaduct and 14 elevated stations from Millennium City Center to Sector 9 in Haryana. The Gurgaon Metro line will span 28.80 Km with 27 stations, including six interchange stations. Moreover, this package will cover a total viaduct length of 15.221 Km. Systra MVA Consulting (I) Private Limited served as the Detail Design/GFC Architect & Design Architect, while Ranjit Buildcon Limited & Dilip Buildcon Limited were appointed as the civil works contractor for this project.


B. EAST ZONE

In FY 2024-25, Biltrax tracked 19 Transport & Sports infrastructure projects in the East Zone through its BX-1 platform, worth an estimated construction cost of 888 INR-Crore.

Of the total projects tracked by BX-1 in the East Zone during FY 2024–25, Odisha registered the highest construction value. The state implemented 9 projects with a combined construction cost of 468 INR-Crore. These together accounted for 52.70% of the total construction cost in the region. The projects include the development of Sports Facilities, Bus Depots, and other key urban transport & sports infrastructure upgrades.

Of the 19 Transport and Sports Infrastructure projects mapped in the East Zone, 16 were entirely new developments, while the remaining 3 are currently in the implementation phase.

Key Stakeholders in the East Zone

In the East Zone, BX-1 mapped 4 projects by Bihar State Building Construction Corporation Limited (BSBCCL), all dedicated to sports infrastructure development. Maa Bhagwati Enterprises contributed through 2 key civil works projects, while NBCC (India) Limited managed 2 projects as Project Management Consultant (PMC). Together, these entities played a vital role in strengthening regional infrastructure and supporting large-scale development initiatives.

A key highlight is that the four sports infrastructure projects spearheaded by BSBCCL in the Bihar region included the development of an Indoor Stadium at Patliputra, an Old Stadium at Madhubani, a Sports Complex in Hajipur, and a Sports Complex cum Gymnasium Building at Devisarai. All projects are currently in the pre-construction stage, and contractors have already been appointed for 3 out of these 4. This further reflects the state’s focused efforts on expanding modern sports facilities. Of these, Maa Bhagwati Enterprises was awarded 2 projects, while A4K Trading LLP secured 1 project, both for civil works execution.


B. WEST ZONE

In the last financial year, Biltrax tracked 35 Transport & Sports Infrastructure projects in the West Zone, with a total estimated construction cost of 5,628 INR-Crore.

Of the total projects tracked by BX-1 in the West Zone during FY 2024-25, Maharashtra led the region with the highest construction value. The state undertook 20 projects with a combined construction cost of 3,649 INR-Crore, accounting for 64.84% of the total. The projects include the development of Metro Systems, Sports Facilities, Bus Depots, and other key urban transport & sports infrastructure upgrades.

Out of the 35 Transport and Sports Infrastructure projects identified in the West Zone, 28 were entirely new developments, while 7 were in the implementation stage.

Key Stakeholders in the West Zone

In the West Zone, BX-1 identified Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) handling 4 government development projects. Meanwhile, INI Design Studio was engaged as the design architect for 4 projects. The Directorate of Sports & Youth Services Maharashtra undertook 3 government projects, primarily in the sports sector. Together, these organizations contributed to the advancement of transport & sports infrastructure across the West Zone.

Sports Complex

Significantly, during the last financial year, Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG) spearheaded 3 projects worth 1,466 INR-Crore in the Gujarat region. Out of which, the SAG AUDA Karai Sports Hub in Gandhinagar is the largest project, with a construction cost of 1,200 INR-Crore. The project is currently in the pre-construction stage. Moreover, it is being developed jointly by the SAG and the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA).

The development will feature a stadium with a seating capacity of 30,000–35,000, expandable to 50,000–55,000 seats. Additionally, it will comprise a shooting complex and an indoor multipurpose arena accommodating 5,000–6,000 spectators. Once completed, the hub is expected to become a premier destination for national and international sporting events in Gujarat.
