On Saturday, July 05, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation stone for a slew of education projects worth 480 INR-Crore at Central University of Odisha (CUO)’s Sunabeda campus in Koraput district.
The proposed education projects in Odisha aim to build an environmentally sustainable, technologically advanced, and socially inclusive Net Zero Campus. It features multi-storey academic blocks, 10 modern hostel buildings, a grand auditorium, a gymnasium, and an indoor sports complex. Additionally, shopping centers, fully equipped health centers, and an international guest house will also be built.

Furthermore, the Union Minister inaugurated newly completed facilities of the university worth 130 INR-Crore, including an academic building, health center, VC residence, and staff quarters. He also witnessed the signing of an MoU among six institutions: CUO Koraput, IIT Bhubaneswar, NIT Rourkela, IIM Sambalpur, IISER Berhampur, and Shri Sadashiva Campus of Central Sanskrit University, Puri.
