The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has initiated groundwork for the Delhi Panipat Karnal RRTS corridor. Work began on Friday, April 3, with surveys and utility shifting activities across parts of Delhi and Haryana. The project aims to enhance regional connectivity across the National Capital Region.
The corridor will span approximately 136 Km and will connect Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Karnal in Haryana. It will further include around 17–22 stations, with a mix of elevated and underground sections. The system will operate as a semi-high-speed regional transit network designed to reduce travel time and improve intercity mobility. Moreover, preparatory works currently include utility diversion, surveys, and early-stage infrastructure setup along the alignment.
