Zepto Logic Signs 250 INR-Crore MoU to build fabless chip design house in Tamil Nadu

Zepto Logic Technologies has signed a 250 INR-Crore MoU with the Tamil Nadu Government to establish a fabless semiconductor design house and a VLSI skilling center. With this step, the company continues its expansion in the region, reinforcing its broader presence. 

The project will focus on advanced semiconductor solutions, including SoCs, reusable IPs, ASICs and FPGA development. Additionally, the plan includes training and industry-aligned talent development, supported by its associate company, Caliber Embedded Technologies in Coimbatore.

The new facility aims to support key chip applications across AI workloads, telecom infrastructure, data centers, and embedded technology. Meanwhile, the project timeline has not been specified, but the proposal outlines a roadmap to build a semiconductor-focused innovation and skilling campus.

The company continues expanding its IP portfolio with capabilities in connectivity, memory, mixed-signal blocks and AI accelerators. Through this latest MoU, Zepto Logic Tamil Nadu strengthens its innovation roadmap and supports the rising demand for advanced semiconductor design in the region.
