Chief Minister Mohan Yadav laid the foundation stone for a large-scale water supply project in Indore on Tuesday, January 13, with an estimated cost of 800 INR-Crore. The development falls under the AMRUT 2.0 Indore Water Supply Scheme Package 1. Moreover, the project forms part of a broader long-term plan that expands the city’s water investment to nearly 2,400 INR-Crore. This makes it one of the biggest urban water infrastructure projects in the region.

The water supply project in Indore will include an intake well with a capacity of 1,650 MLD at Jalud and Bhiklay villages. Additionally, the plan covers the construction of 2,235 mm diameter raw and clear water pumping mains. Authorities will also set up 11 kV, 33 kV, and 132 kV power substations to ensure uninterrupted electricity.

As a result, it will support sustainable urban growth and significantly improve the overall quality of life for residents.
