KNR Constructions secures 2,163 INR-Crore Chennai elevated corridor project

KNR Constructions Limited has secured a major infrastructure contract worth an estimated 2,163.07 INR-Crore for a new elevated corridor in Chennai. The company received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for the four-lane project along East Coast Road. Moreover, the project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).

The project covers the stretch from design chainage Km 11+480 to Km 11/800 at West Avenue Road and extends up to Km 24+780 on East Coast Road. Additionally, it will connect Thiruvanmiyur and Uthandi on SH 49. Furthermore, the elevated corridor will ease traffic congestion in Chennai.

KNR Constructions will complete the Chennai elevated corridor within 1,095 days (~36 months). After completion, the concession agreement provides for a five-year operation period from the commercial operation date. Overall, this elevated corridor marks a significant step toward strengthening transport infrastructure in Chennai.
