MEPZ SEZ UAC approves projects worth 450 INR-Crore across TAP region

The MEPZ SEZ UAC projects TAP region has approved projects worth over 450 INR-Crore across Tamil Nadu. The Unit Approval Committee of MEPZ Special Economic Zone cleared the proposals on Monday, May 18. The approved projects are expected to generate around 6,650 jobs across the TAP region.

The approvals cover sectors such as IT/ITES, nutraceuticals, warehousing and logistics, engineering services and footwear manufacturing. Among the major proposals, Grand Atlantia Panapakkam SEZ Developers Private Limited will establish a unit at SIPCOT SEZ, Panapakkam, Ranipet, with an investment of 385 INR-Crore. The project is expected to generate employment for about 5,180 people. Additionally, Impex received approval for a unit at SIPCOT SEZ, Bargur. Meanwhile Tamilnadu Nutraceutical Innovation Hub Private Limited secured approval for a unit at Integrated Chennai Business Park India Private Limited FTWZ in Ponneri.

The MEPZ SEZ UAC projects TAP region approvals will support industrial expansion across multiple sectors in Tamil Nadu. They will also strengthen employment generation and manufacturing activity within the TAP industrial ecosystem.
