Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) plans to develop the 1.5 MTPA pellet manufacturing plant near its Gandhamardan iron ore mines in Keonjhar district, Odisha. The project will involve an estimated investment of 800 INR-Crore.
The proposed facility will manufacture iron ore pellets using low-grade ore fines and other underutilised mineral resources. Additionally, the project will support beneficiation and value addition of low-grade raw materials. The plant forms part of OMC’s strategy to expand into downstream mineral processing and value-added manufacturing. However, authorities have not disclosed the land area or project timeline.
