ACE, KATO to invest 200 INR-Crore in crane manufacturing project in India

Action Construction Equipment (ACE) and Japan-based KATO Works Co. Ltd. have formed a 50:50 joint venture to establish a crane manufacturing project in India. The partners will jointly invest approximately 200 INR-Crore to manufacture high-capacity truck cranes and crawler cranes. The facility will be located in Faridabad, Haryana.

The manufacturing facility will produce truck cranes with capacities ranging from 51 Tonnes to 100 Tonnes and crawler cranes with capacities of up to 150 Tonnes. Initially, the joint venture will manufacture cranes for the domestic market. However, it also plans to expand exports under the ‘Make in India for the World’ initiative. The project will combine ACE’s manufacturing capabilities with KATO’s product design, engineering, and technology expertise. Additionally, the company plans to introduce more crane models in the future based on market demand.

Once operational, the crane manufacturing project India is expected to strengthen domestic production of high-capacity cranes. It will also support India’s heavy equipment manufacturing ecosystem and expand export opportunities from the country.
