Construction has commenced on the JSW Rayalaseema Integrated Steel Plant at Sunnapuralla Palli in Yerraguntla mandal of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the project. JSW Andhra Pradesh Steel Limited is developing the integrated steel plant with an estimated investment of 16,350 INR-Crore. The project will be executed in two phases on an anticipated 1,100 Acres.
The first phase involves an investment of 4,500 INR-Crore. The second phase will attract an additional investment of 11,850 INR-Crore. The facility will adopt scrap-based electric arc furnace technology powered by renewable energy. Additionally, the project includes a dedicated 15 Km pipeline from the Gandikota reservoir to supply 2 TMC of water annually. Supporting infrastructure will include road, rail and port connectivity to meet the plant’s operational requirements.

The JSW Rayalaseema steel plant will strengthen steel manufacturing infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, the project will expand industrial capacity in the Rayalaseema region through phased development. The integrated facility and supporting infrastructure are also expected to improve industrial connectivity and support long-term manufacturing growth.
