Godrej Agrovet to develop 300 INR-Crore oil palm processing unit in Khammam

Godrej Agrovet Limited will establish an oil palm processing unit in Khammam district, Telangana, with an estimated investment of 300 INR-Crore. The facility will come up at Gubbagurthi village in Konijerla mandal. The state government has allocated 113.5 Acres of land for the project. The development will include a processing unit, a nursery, an R&D Center and a seed garden.

The project is expected to generate employment for more than 700 people. During a meeting with the state government, company representatives requested an additional 35 to 40 Acres of land for the seed garden. They also discussed the upcoming launch of Telangana’s first private integrated oil palm complex. Additionally, the Chief Minister directed officials to widen the roads leading to the processing facility under the supervision of the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (TGIIC).

The Godrej Agrovet Khammam oil palm unit will strengthen oil palm processing infrastructure in Telangana. Furthermore, the associated road upgrades will improve access to the project site. The development is expected to support the state’s expanding oil palm cultivation and processing ecosystem.
