The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved an estimated 2,388 INR-Crore investment to establish a semiconductor facility at Tarluvada in Visakhapatnam district. Advanced System in Package Technologies Private Limited will develop the Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) unit. The project will create around 1,000 direct jobs and mark the State’s formal entry into semiconductor manufacturing.
The Cabinet cleared the proposal under the Andhra Pradesh Semiconductor and Display Fab Policy (4.0) 2024–29. The government will allot approximately 30 Acres for the semiconductor unit. In addition, the Cabinet approved special incentives for the project. Meanwhile, the Cabinet also approved a proposal by Adani Infra (India) Limited. The company will establish a 1,000 MW AI data center cluster in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts. The government will allot an anticipated 601.4 Acres to three Special Purpose Vehicles — Vizag Hyperscale, Vizag Mega and Vizag Rambilli Data Center Park. Furthermore, an Executive Steering Committee will facilitate regulatory clearances and review incentives.

In the clean energy segment, the Cabinet approved a 900 MW solar project by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited in Kurnool district. It also cleared wind power allocations totalling 320 MW in Anantapur district under the A.P. Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024. Additionally, the Cabinet approved incentives for hospitality and tourism projects in Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Amaravati, Tirupati and Chirala. It also cleared the establishment of a new government women’s degree college in Srirangarajapuram mandal of Tirupati district from the 2026–27 academic year.
