Maharashtra Govt signs 30,000 INR-Crore MoU with Lodha for a Green Data Center Park

The Maharashtra Government and Lodha Developers have signed a new MoU for a data center project, marking a major step toward a sustainable digital future. This ambitious plan involves a total estimated investment of 30,000 INR-Crore. Moreover, the groundbreaking project will not only enhance the state’s digital infrastructure but also create substantial economic opportunities. 

The expansive Lodha data center park will be developed across 370 Acres within Palava, Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Moreover, this initiative is expected to generate around 6,000 direct and indirect jobs. It will have a total power capacity of 2 Gigawatts (GW). This will further have a positive impact on the local economy. Lodha Developers will serve as the master developer.

This park will run exclusively on renewable energy sources. It marks a major departure from traditional, energy-intensive data centers. The project aligns with Maharashtra’s new Green Integrated Data Centre Parks Policy. It also reinforces the state’s vision for long-term sustainability. Through this partnership, Maharashtra is blending cutting-edge technology and economic growth with environmental responsibility. This effort will lead India’s digital and green transformation.
