Ahmedabad-based Nirma Group is planning to enter the hospitality sector as part of its diversification strategy. The company has applied for environmental clearance to develop a five-star hotel catering to the upper-upscale segment of the market.
The proposed Nirma luxury hotel, Ahmedabad, will feature 555 rooms. It will rise along the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar (SG) Highway, one of the city’s fastest-growing commercial corridors. Nirma Group is in discussions with several multinational hotel operators, including Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), Hyatt Hotels, and Marriott International, though a final agreement has not yet been concluded.

The proposed Nirma luxury hotel, Ahmedabad, is expected to be operational ahead of the 2030 Commonwealth Games. This will further give the project a strategic advantage in capturing global event-driven demand. Moreover, the facility will strengthen Ahmedabad’s hospitality ecosystem and mark Nirma Group’s entry into a new growth sector.
