PM Modi lays foundation for health and infrastructure projects worth 6,300 INR-Crore in Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday, September 14, launched and laid the foundation for several projects in Assam worth an estimated 18,530 INR-Crore. This marks a pivotal step toward enhancing healthcare, connectivity, and industrial growth in the state. In the Darrang district, PM Modi laid the foundation for projects worth over 6,300 INR-Crore

Consequently, Foundations have been laid for multiple key projects poised to revolutionize the state’s infrastructure. The new Darrang Medical College and Hospital, along with a nursing college and a GNM school, are part of the new projects. The combined investment for these healthcare facilities is 570 INR-Crore. Additionally, the 118.5 Km-long Guwahati Ring Road project is estimated to cost 4,530 INR-Crore. This ring road will connect Kamrup and Darrang districts to Ri Bhoi district in Meghalaya, significantly improving regional mobility and trade.

The transformative agenda also includes landmark industrial projects. In the Golaghat district, PM Modi unveiled a new bamboo-based ethanol plant, valued at over 5,000 INR-Crore. He also laid the foundation stone for a Petro Fluidised Catalytic Cracker Unit at the Numaligarh Refinery, a project worth 7,230 INR-Crore. These projects will strengthen the infrastructure landscape and economy of Assam.
