The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will begin construction on a new cable-stayed bridge connecting Goregaon and Andheri this November. This marks a key step in improving east–west mobility in the western suburbs. The project is estimated at 418 INR-Crore.

The bridge will span the Goregaon Creek and help ease traffic on S.V. Road and Link Road. It will be a six-lane structure extending 542 Meters. Additionally, it will connect Bhagat Singh Nagar in Goregaon with Oshiwara in Andheri along a 36.6 Meters-wide DP Road. The construction, meanwhile, is planned over 36 months and is expected to be completed by October 2028. Importantly, 238 Meters of the total length will be a cable-stayed section.
