The Center has approved multiple road infrastructure projects worth more than 11,000 INR-Crore across Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Telangana under the PM GatiShakti initiative, according to official statements from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
In Maharashtra, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the rehabilitation and upgradation of the 154.635 Km Ghoti–Trimbak (Mokhada)–Jawhar–Manor–Palghar section of NH-160A at an estimated 3,320.38 INR-Crore. Authorities will implement the project under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model. The project will improve connectivity to key economic, social, and logistics nodes in the region. Additionally, the upgraded corridor will connect six PM GatiShakti Economic Nodes, one Social Node, and eight Logistics Nodes in Maharashtra. This will further strengthen integrated infrastructure planning across the state.

Meanwhile, in Gujarat, the CCEA cleared construction of 4-lane stretches between Dhamasiya–Bitada/Movi and Nasarpore–Malotha. This highway development covers approximately 107.67 Km on NH-56 at an estimated cost of 4,583.64 INR-Crore. The upgraded corridor is designed for a top speed of 100 Km/h. It will support an average speed of about 70 Km/h. Consequently, authorities expect the project to reduce travel time by nearly 40%.
In Telangana, the Cabinet approved widening the 80.01 Km Gudebellur–Mahabubnagar section of NH-167 to four lanes under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). The project carries an estimated cost of 3,175.08 INR-Crore and is part of the Hyderabad–Panaji Economic Corridor scheme. It is expected to ease congestion and improve connectivity across Narayanpet and Mahabubnagar districts.
Officials noted that these approvals of road projects in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana align with PM GatiShakti objectives, which focus on multimodal connectivity, logistics efficiency, and infrastructure capacity expansion across high-traffic corridors.
